Let’s start by explaining what a small group means. It involves one coach and up to six clients at our Evolve Fitness & Performance PT facility being taken through a personal training session together.
How can it be Personal Training, if it’s not One-to-One? Well, we’d all agree that individual coaching gives you the tailored approach and personal attention to help you achieve results faster. But what if you could get the same high – quality coaching and the same focus with the added motivation of a group dynamic? Small Group Personal Training is the best of both worlds.
Small means small; no groups are larger than six. This way you get the buzz and encouragement of working towards your goals with like-minded members, but your coach is still able to help each of you as you train. And everyone starts with a One-to-One evaluation, and each program is tailored to specific goals and is reviewed regularly.
Most people work best in a group environment. It creates an exciting atmosphere. You are more motivated to push yourself harder in your training with others around you. If the other people training with you are getting on with their workout it will drive, you to do the same. You will also be focused on your training and getting more out of your session. Remember a coach is there to make sure you are training safely, effectively, and proficiently.
What if you are new to strength training and have never picked up a weight in your life? Not to worry, with a coach who has experience and is good at their job, we will be able to manipulate and change a programme to suit all levels and you won’t necessarily be doing the same exercise as the other people in your group. Remember it is still a personal training session which is individualized on your abilities and your goals.
Everyone goes through an initial assessment which lets us gauge your current fitness levels, movement to gain an understanding of your personal goals and develop a programme to suit you.
Small-group personal training is the sustainable option. To begin with, it’s more cost-effective than one-to-one personal training. Plus, because we run sessions quite regularly, you’re more likely to find a slot that works for you. All of this adds up to a training regime developed for you, that you’re more likely to be consistent with that fits into your lifestyle.

Your EVOLVE experience can happen wherever you feel most comfortable. You’re always welcome at our Personal Training Gym, but you can also train at home by taking part in our online sessions.
Mat at Evolve focuses a lot of care and attention to make sure you learn lifts/exercises correctly so that you do them safely and with confidence. This has also increased my confidence when I’m in the gym on my own because I now know what I’m doing and understand the reasons why.
