I’ve always been into training but never really achieved the results I wanted which are to increase my lean muscle mass whilst maintaining a low body fat percentage. Before training with Mat I was definitely at a plateau, stuck doing the same routine week in week out and not achieving the results I wanted. As well as sustaining injuries due to lack of knowledge surrounding over-training and proper form coupled with a routine lacking functional movements.

I’d always heard of training principles such as Hypertrophy, Plyometrics, Mobility and HIIT; without ever actually knowing what they were. I now know what all of these techniques are and how I can apply them to my workouts in order to achieve my goals.
Mat’s programming has allowed me to increase both my strength and lean muscle mass, maintain low body fat percentage and get fitter, all whilst eating more calories than I ever was before. I have found that Mat’s insistence on proper technique and form whilst training has made my routines both safer and more effective, leaving me with a feeling of confidence when attempting more advanced exercises in the gym.
Mat has also introduced me to an approach to nutrition which has its foundations in performance and fuelling your body with what it needs to be strong and healthy. Before, I was restricting my carbohydrate intake too much which was resulting in me feeling lethargic and weak. Mat has taught me the importance of consuming the right nutrients when you need them most, in order to allow for optimal performance and body composition.
